Bangkok 2012

Once again, I'm back in Bangkok and this time, we get to visit more touristy places so remain seated and don't go elsewhere!

Departing from Singapore Changi Airport

Photobucket
Having our "Ya-Kun" + "Superdog" combo breakfast

Photobucket
Getting ready to board Jetstar. (Yucks. Remind me of my Final Year Project. Shall show you guys the video someday)

Photobucket
I'm bringing my bro's sexy back~

YAY! Arrived at BANGKOK

Photobucket
Queuing up for Song (means 2 in Thai) Taxis

Photobucket
Most common color for their taxi, PINK! Good Choice.

Photobucket
My sis found this sign on their cab. Understand what they are trying to say? Well, I don't.

Managed to stay awake during the ride to our hotel. Guess that I'm all pumped up for shopping!

Our favorite hotel so far, Amari Watergate

Our luggage may seem 'harmless' but they are capable of carrying 10kg heavy of loots

Photobucket
Everybody's favorite wholesale shopping mall, Platinum Mall!

Dinner at Chinatown

The famous T&K Seafood. Read lots of good reviews about it and here we are!

Really hot environment but we were there for the good food so, tolerate!!

Photobucket
Photobucket
Looks like those 'prawning' prawns. Agree? Well, these were much fatter lah.

Photobucket
Fish is a must!

Photobucket
Did not have the patience to wait and take pictures of all the food.

Photobucket
Gobbling down every last single bit

Photobucket
And as for dessert, we just went to the shop beside T&K and ordered BIRD NEST! :)

This was the schedule for the first day. Shopped for 3 hours (which obviously, was not enough) at platinum and bought the famous pork floss from Chinatown. A short day for us because we had to wake up at like 530AM for the second day! Gonna travel out to Kanchanaburi! Yay!! An exciting excursion! Haven't use this word (excursion) since Secondary school. Haha! Random...
Hey! Wait a minute... You guys got no idea where Kanchanaburi is right?! Whooo~ That's a good sign BECAUSE I will be visiting some of the famous tourist spots!

Ahhh!! Okay okay, I cannot take it anymore. I was about to end this entry and create a new one but seriously, this entry is way too SHORT. I'm just going to continue till I'm satisfied with the length yea? You guys, lucky fellows leh. :)

Our Road Trip to Kanchanaburi

We, or should I say my brother and Edmund... (Must give them some credits) found a company that provides a tour guide and minibus for the entire day so that they could bring us to places that we (bro & Edmund) have suggested. Very convenient when the weather was BURNING HOT. 40degrees leh! No joke.

Toilet break at some random gas station

My brother was like, "Oooh~ Got the rural feel eh!". What do you think?

Photobucket
Our VIP private bus

Photobucket
Alamak. Where's the other half of my face?

First Destination: Maeklong Railway Market

Photobucket

The way they position those bunch of bananas looked like they can be worn on your head...

Photobucket

Photobucket
Aw~ so cute! Always misses our very own BAOBAO when we are traveling. Even if it is a 5 days trip.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Kopitiam Coffee. Hard to find in Bangkok shopping malls.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Lunch at this particular food stall. Have to try their local food no matter what.

Photobucket
Photobucket

Photobucket
Our tour guide bought some fruits for us to try. Nice right?

Photobucket
Rambutan and Mangosteen.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Some freezing drinks to quench our thirst and cool our body down

Photobucket
Mine was Ice Milk Tea. Didn't expect it to be SO NICE!!

Photobucket
No flavoring at all so it's super plain/tasteless.

Photobucket
You got to add them in yourself. Self-service ah!

Photobucket
Continue walking towards...

Photobucket
The Railway Market! A complete fresh market held on a railway track. Yes. Lots of tourists trying to get a shot of the unique market.

Photobucket
Just before the train comes in, all the vendors would fold down the awnings of their stalls, pull back the tables to allow just enough space for the train to pass.

Photobucket
Everybody had to get out of the train's way unless you don't wanna be safe, and, sound-ou-ou-ou-ound~

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
And once the train passes, everybody, back to business!

Photobucket
Waiting for our minibus to pick us up. We were all melting away...

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Spotted this colorful small little theme park near the railway market.

To Be Continued...

    1. The more people you sign up for, the cheaper it is. We are a group of 7 and thus, we paid 1,986 THB per person.
