Bangkok 2012: Part Two

Alright! Continuing from my previous entry...

Road Trip to Kanchanaburi, Floating Market

Photobucket
Another round of Food Tasting. This duck-shaped jelly... hmm... nothing special.

Photobucket
But this is different. "Kanom krok": Coconut puddings or some (like ourselves) call it, Coconut pancakes. They're really, really TASTY! A MUST-EAT snack!

Photobucket
Reached our destination! The famous floating market.

Photobucket
This isn't the 'market' zone yet as you can see from the photos. Pretty ulu eh?

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
This is it! We took the traditional type of boat, which means that in order to move, you row. There's another option which most ang mohs prefer. That will be the motor boats. For the traditional boats, WHY NO SHELTER?!

Photobucket
Photobucket
A reminder to you guys, do not put your hands on either sides of the boats. The lady rowing our boat used the rowing stick to beat my sis hand. Ouch! Luckily, I'm seated right in front. HEE~

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Spot the boy who's not tired of the peace sign pose. From this...

Photobucket
To this...
Photobucket
To this...
Photobucket
And finally, he's sick of it! HAHA!
Photobucket
People sitting on the motor boat giving us the "What the hell are you riding on" look.

Photobucket
My creative mum just calmly took out her shawl and place it on her head.
It may become a fashion statement! Never know right?

Photobucket
Following closely behind

Photobucket
Bringing us to see how the locals live their daily lives

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
A baby dragonfly resting on the edge of our boat. My brother actually came out with a small 'meaningful' quote when he saw this picture. Hahaha! Well, I forgot the quote.

Photobucket
Leading a simple life doesn't mean that you wouldn't find any joy in it.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
And the 'sampan' trip ends here.

Lunch Time at some out-of-the-way restaurant

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
How can you miss Thailand's Green Curry Chicken?

Photobucket
If you don't recognize a particular guy in this photo, he was our tour guide for the day.

Next Destination, Tiger Temple

Photobucket
If anything were to happen... none of their business~

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Everybody needs an umbrella cause the sun was SCORCHING HOT.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Decided to follow this group of tourists, who were walking a tiger back to the "photography" location.

Photobucket
The "Photography" location! Weirdly, there were a handful of Ang mohs running this place instead of Thai.

Photobucket
Last "walking-the-tiger" session.

Photobucket
There's always a monk accompanying these tigers.

Photo-taking time!

Decided to join in the free photo-taking queue! Heh heh heh~
Okay. Let's bring out the warriors!!

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
This pose reminds us of our dearest "Baobao"!

Am I right?!?! 100% SIMILARITIES! :)

Photobucket
Naughty kitty, whack me with it's tail

Photobucket
[STARE] Don't you dare whack me again...

Photobucket
Photobucket
Slowly and carefully...

Photobucket
Photobucket
Ohmy~ I guess I'm not the only victim!

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
If you're observant enough, you will see that my brother was holding the tiger's tail...

Photobucket
Photobucket
The tiger with Baobao's signature pose again

Photobucket
End of photo-taking session. Time to move on. And yes, my dad was carrying a pink umbrella provided by our bus driver. Haha! So cute right?

Photobucket
Came across a deer looking for leaves to munch on.

Photobucket
Sis checking out if it's cool with her standing so close to it first.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Has really huge eyes. Just like my sista :)

Photobucket
Brave mummy posing right beside it

Photobucket
Let you guys guess what the hell is going on here?

Photobucket
Answer: Tourists had to pay to play with the tigers! I wouldn't dare... I still remember that once, when I was young, I played with my grandma's kitten and his claw just hooked into my finger's skin! PAIN.

Photobucket
Photo-taking with the tiger cub. The typical Oh-my-gosh-don't-do-anything-funny face

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Bunch of wild buffalo

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
An up-close shot. Was trying to take this photo with my mum pulling my backpack saying, "Aiyo! Don't go so near ah!!!"

Photobucket
Hot summer

Photobucket
And then came along some playful ponies

Photobucket
Photobucket
Monastery located at Tiger Temple

Photobucket
Photobucket
That will be all for Tiger Temple but not Kanchanaburi~ Alright! Another destination to go! :)

To Be Continued...
